2003-2011 Lincoln Town car for me. Huge, american-made, very comfortable, lots of space, easy operation, no center console to get in the way of those arthritic legs, will last forever. There's some reasons that 90% of people 65 and over bought these.

I have never seen a young person - under 35 - own or drive one of these. I live in DC. I even worked in a car wash for a year during college. Drive some nice rides for shorts distances. :)

The previous generation Lexus ES.

It's a Lexus, so they can show they have money, but its basically just a Camry, and that Gen ES is the opposite of sporty and exciting so they won't have to worry about their heart rate getting too high or breaking a hip from too harsh a ride.

They also look like a blob of car so the styling isn't going to offend an old persons sensibilities.

Nah. There's some people that turn their nose up at that. My dad's family is United and my mom's is Catholic and I have been raised Catholic and even after 20 years, people still scoff at the fact that my dad comes to church with us. They're all old, mind you, but still.

I've spent way too much time staring at this view with an elderly person behind the wheel. No, really, WAY TOO MUCH TIME. If they'd just accelerate to the speed limit it wouldn't take so much time for me to get where I'm going so I wouldn't have to look at this anymore. It's not like the 3800 is a weak engine. It's not the car's fault.

Old Buicks - Regals, LeSabres, Park Avenues, plus Toyota Camrys and Avalons (all years). Often accented with a carriage roof, and one or more patriotic bumper stickers.

I'm probably twisted, but remember when wife's granddad got his compensation check for the internment, and said, "I want the most expensive Japanese made car I can get." So ended up with an Infinity Q45.

Kinja'd!!!

It kinda made the "old person's car" thing stick in my mind. Age 78, roaring around central CA at 80-90 with a Q45, wondering why his friend's never call (because they were dead.) Wasn't too long after that we 'helped' him remember his age and lost the car. Fun freaking drive, though - just not with him driving.

Welcome to the world of being an Oppo poster! It's really fun to share car-related thoughts to the community, esp. as a place to note automotive nuances and details...

Love the Rover James, but would personally drive this if I were old...

Kinja'd!!!

Though technically, I would drive that now if I could (I'm 15), so don't listen to me, I'm a Volvo nut...

However, my mom's elderly Polish piano prof. drives this, so it's not totally without reason...
